Naked Cake
A cake decorating trend first brought to market in 2007 by Momofuku Milk Bar’s inspired pastry chef, Christina Tosi, the “Naked Cake” has taken the dessert world by storm. My own personal variation of it, sensuously referred to as the “semi-naked” cake, is a simple, elegant way to ensure your tiered cake looks stunning and also maintains its moisture and flavor. The sheer outer layer looks best over chocolate or Red Velvet in our opinion!
